Polly & the Boggart

Polly & the Boggart

A Tale of Friendship, Love and Loss. When twelve year old Polly moves into her new house she gets more than she bargained for. With the help of Mrs Butterworth, the old lady next door, Polly finds herself shot straight into a world of Fairies and Goblins, Pixies & Elves and much more. In a race against time, only she, and a mischievous Boggart called Hob, can bring back the Fairie races that were accidentally put to sleep by a powerful and ancient spell. Polly and the Boggart is the first in a series of magical stories detailing the exploits of Hob (The Boggart) and his friends.

Hob & The Crystal Sphere

Hob & The Crystal Sphere

The Ogre leaned towards the little Boggart. “Where we go, there are rivers of molten rock, lakes of acid, seas and oceans filled with the stench of millions of dead and dying creatures.” “Do they sell candyfloss?” The Ogre smiled at the Boggarts humour, but somehow Hob didn’t feel very comfortable under that evil twisted grimace. HOB’S SECOND ADVENTURE! A couple of years have passed since Hob’s last adventures and, no longer a True Fairie, he finds himself somewhat alone in the land of mortals until the Council of Seven offer him a task to recover the mysterious Crystal Sphere, an ancient artifact that they hope will speed up the process of reawakening all the Fairie races. With Minxy the Imp to help him along the way, Hob soon finds himself plunged into a world of Goblins, Ogres, Giants, Dragons, Magic and Mayhem and, once again finds himself faced with difficult, heart-breaking decisions.

Morals or Money?

Written by Grumpy Writer 17/06/201407/02/2016 Leave a comment

Here’s a question. What would you do when faced with a moral dilemma at work? One that determines whether you will stay or leave? Let’s face it, you need the salary (we all need the salary). After all, you have a family, a mortgage and all the regular bills and expectations of a ‘normal’ life. However, the […]

Poker – A Relative Disaster

Written by Grumpy Writer 05/02/201407/02/2016 Leave a comment

Trust me. Unless you’re looking for a legitimate reason to get divorced from your significant other, or wish to never be invited to your parent’s or in-laws for the holidays, never play poker with your family! If the corrosive bile that is spat across the table when they lose isn’t enough to have you screaming […]
